About the Role
The Service Manager position at ABB offers an exciting opportunity to lead and implement service strategies within the UAE's Process Automation sector. You will be responsible for driving service growth and ensuring customer satisfaction while managing engineering projects. As a key member of the management team, you will play a vital role in optimizing service resources and achieving performance targets.
Responsibilities
- Lead Automation and Electrical projects, including design, engineering, documentation, and execution.
- Respond to customer service requests and manage service contracts effectively.
- Drive the implementation of service strategies while collaborating with other business units.
- Interpret customer specifications to design and implement hardware and software solutions for automation and electrical jobs.
- Create Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and support supply chain management for specifications and procurement.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement to enhance service excellence and profitability.
- Travel within the UAE and the Middle East for site execution and project management.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and regulations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience with ABB 800xA and AC800M systems.
- Familiarity with ABB Minerals Library (BMI) and PP Library.
- Experience with other ABB systems and third-party systems, such as Siemens and Allen Bradley, is a plus.
- Strong background in Industrial Automation and electrical upgrades, particularly in cement, mining, and metals sectors.
- Expertise in industry-standard protocols like Modbus, Profibus, and OPC.
- Proficiency in English is required; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
- Candidate must have valid UAE residency.
