Responsibilities

  • Oversee legal operations and ensure adherence to laws and regulations.
  • Support Distribution Compliance efforts to maintain regulatory standards.
  • Review and update agents’ contract templates to reflect current legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with the data privacy team to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to protect the company's interests.
  • Identify potential legal risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee litigation involving the company and manage external legal counsel.
  • Provide legal advice to management to inform decision-making.
  • Conduct training sessions for employees on compliance and legal matters.

Requirements

  • Law degree from a reputable university.
  • Admission to practice law in the Philippines.
  • 3-5 years of legal or compliance experience in the insurance or financial industry.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent analytical skills to assess complex legal issues.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in legal documents.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities to navigate legal challenges.
  • Fluency in English and Filipino for effective communication.

Statutory benefits (Philippines)

  • 13th-month pay

    Mandatory under PD 851: equivalent to one month's basic salary, paid no later than 24 December each year.

  • Service Incentive Leave

    Five days of paid leave per year after one year of service.

  • Mandatory contributions

    Employer must contribute to SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG on the employee's behalf.
