Terms of Service

1. The Handmework platform

Handmework (handmework.com) is a multi-market jobs and hiring product operated by Careerworkflux Ltd trading as Handmework (“we”, “us”). Depending on the market path you use (for example /uae/jobs, /nigeria/jobs), Handmework provides regional job boards and employer tools. Core capabilities include:

• Job listings from employers and approved ingest sources
• Salary signals and company profiles where available
• Application tracking for candidates and employers
• Employer posting, company pages, and hiring workflows
• Optional AI-assisted CV and cover letter tools

We may add, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where feasible. Markets may have different inventory levels; empty markets may still be shown while inventory is building.

2. Eligibility and account registration

To register on Handmework you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Provide a valid email address and accurate profile information
• Not have been previously banned for a Terms violation

Employers must represent a legitimate business or organisation. We may request verification documents. You are responsible for account security and all activity under your account. Notify us at support@handmework.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Job seeker obligations

As a job seeker, you agree to:

• Submit genuine applications only
• Provide truthful information in your profile, CV, and applications
• Not create multiple accounts or impersonate another person
• Treat employer contacts with professional courtesy
• Report suspected scam listings rather than amplifying them

Salary data you contribute must reflect genuine compensation. Fabricating data may lead to suspension.

4. Employer obligations

As an employer, you agree to:

• Post only genuine, currently available vacancies
• Provide accurate descriptions, requirements, and compensation where disclosed
• Not request payment, bank details, or financial information from applicants
• Comply with applicable labour and anti-discrimination laws in each market you hire in
• Use candidate data obtained through Handmework only to evaluate applications for the roles they applied to

Systematic non-response after viewing applications may lead to review of verified status or suspension of listings.

5. Prohibited conduct

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Fraudulent listings, pyramid schemes, or MLM presented as employment
• Scraping or data-mining the platform without written consent
• Automated bots to mass-apply or abuse rate limits
• Bypassing security, verification, or access controls
• Malware, harassment, or sharing others' personal data without consent
• Any use that violates applicable law in the markets we serve

6. Application tracking

Where enabled, Handmework may record when an employer opens a candidate's application so candidates can see progress. By posting a job, employers acknowledge this transparency feature.

A view does not guarantee a response, interview, or offer. We are not liable for employer hiring decisions.

7. Salary data

Salary figures may be employer-disclosed, crowd-sourced, or estimated. They are informational only. Handmework:

• Does not guarantee accuracy of any salary figure
• May aggregate and anonymise contributions before display
• May remove outliers or suspected fabrications

8. AI-powered tools

AI features assist you; they do not replace your judgment. You acknowledge that:

• AI output may contain errors or outdated information
• You must review content before sending it to employers
• False qualifications in any submission breach these Terms
• Consumed AI credits are generally non-refundable

9. Billing and subscriptions

Paid features may be offered in local or supported currencies depending on market and payment provider. Prices and taxes are shown at checkout.

• Payments are processed by third-party payment providers
• Subscriptions renew until cancelled before the renewal date
• Credits may be non-transferable and may expire as stated at purchase
• We do not generally refund consumed credits or elapsed subscription periods

10. Intellectual property

Careerworkflux Ltd owns the Handmework platform IP — including software, design, and editorial content we produce. You may not scrape or republish our content without permission.

Content you upload remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, display, and (where you consented) share it with relevant employers. The licence ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to residual backup copies for a limited period.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Handmework is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:

• Job listings are accurate, current, or free from fraud
• Employers will respond to applications
• The service will be uninterrupted or error-free

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Careerworkflux Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of Handmework. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 100.

12. Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, harm other users, or create legal or security risk. Upon termination, rights to access paid features end; sections that by nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits) continue to apply.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence cannot be waived. Courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction, subject to those mandatory rights.

14. Contact
