The Project Engineering Manager is a member of the Building and Systems Engineering (BaSE) department. He/She manages construction activities of both buildings and conveyor systems (e.g., overseeing bid packages and contractors, managing quality control, and ensuring the end result meets UPS standards and environmental compliance regulations). The Project Engineering Manager coordinates construction and conveyor systems projects, ensuring cost and quality specifications are met. He/She oversees all aspects of building construction from tender to design to construction to commissioning and close-out. He/She facilitates process improvements to ensure efficiency of the conveyor systems and package flow. This position oversees General Contractors, BaSE Supervisors, and BaSE Part-Time Supervisors. This position deploys new automated sortation systems which may include robotics, autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs), and solutions for sortation and transportation. He/She develops and validates equipment performance criteria and provides field support for acceptance testing. This position interfaces with sortation equipment vendors to implement system performance enhancement campaigns and develop new equipment for deployment in the field.
13th-month pay
Mandatory under PD 851: equivalent to one month's basic salary, paid no later than 24 December each year.
Service Incentive Leave
Five days of paid leave per year after one year of service.
Mandatory contributions
Employer must contribute to SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG on the employee's behalf.
