Rotational Programs @ WealthsimpleLocation: Toronto, Hybrid
Our marketing teams are offering a 12 month Early Talent rotational program starting in January 2027. They’re designed for co-op students, non-co-op students, and recent graduates who are ready to ship impactful work. You'll join a high-performing team where you'll contribute to projects that are fundamentally changing how Canadians manage their money. We're committed to your growth, providing the mentorship and community you need to deepen your craft and leave better than you arrived.
Our Early Talent program operates on a hybrid model where our early talent come into office on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We’ll also get together for key moments like team gatherings, early talent events, and other IRL moments that matter.
This posting covers two roles: Growth Marketing and Product and Client Marketing. Please select your preference in the application form for the one that best fits your interests.
Product and Client MarketingWealthsimple's Product & Client Marketing team is outcome-obsessed. We start with the business problem and work backwards to the marketing tactics, never the other way around. We're the connective tissue between Product, Sales, and Marketing, and we take full ownership of cross-functional work so our products and content get the attention they deserve. The team is made up of product marketers, content strategists, and the people who own how clients hear from us in the app. We work across 4 teams: Product Marketing for Investing and Banking, Product Engagement, and Content Marketing.
This is a 12-month program, not a summer job. You'll join the Product & Client Marketing stream and spend the year in roughly 6 month rotations across two of our four teams:
Investing product marketing. Go-to-market for everything people invest in with us, from self-directed accounts to managed portfolios to private markets. Positioning, launch plans, and the client research behind both.
Banking product marketing. Go-to-market for the products people use every day: chequing, the Wealthsimple credit card, and lending.
Product Engagement. The in-app and email communications that take someone from "I signed up" to "I use this for everything." Who gets a message, what it says, and what happened after it went out.
Content Marketing. Our content strategy, including educational resources and organic growth channels like Wealthsimple Learn.
We'll match you to your first rotation based on what you're already good at and what projects are ready to go when you start. We'll pick the second one together, partway through the year, based on where you're strongest and what you want to get better at.
Own a real piece of a launch. A channel, a campaign flow, a set of assets, a section of a go-to-market plan. You'll run it day to day. Your manager reviews and QAs the work, but won't be telling you what to do next.
Write things (potentially millions of) clients actually read. Product copy, in-app messages, campaign emails, educational content. Drafted against a brief, edited hard, shipped.
Learn the products cold. By the end of a rotation you should be able to explain any product on your team in plain language, explain how it works underneath, and say why someone would pick us over the alternative.
Pull your own numbers. Get comfortable in our data and AI tools, report on how your work performed, and bring a recommendation for what to do next. Not just the chart.
Build a hard technical skill using our messaging platform, as well as HTML and CSS for email. These are skills you take with you: the tools we use are the tools most companies use.
Ideate & experiment on lifecycle and cross-sell strategies to drive product engagement and adoption within Wealthsimple’s product ecosystem.
Leave something behind. Every rotation should end with work that outlasts you, and a handover clear enough that the next person can run it.
Wealthsimple's Growth Marketing team owns how people find us, and what happens after they do. We buy and earn attention across the channels where Canadians actually spend their time, then build the communications that turn a new signup into someone who uses Wealthsimple for everything. The team is made up of performance marketers, influencer and partnerships leads, and lifecycle marketers who live in the data and the details. We work across 3 teams: Lifecycle Marketing, User Acquisition, and Influencer Marketing.
This is a 12-month program, not a summer job. You'll join the Growth Marketing stream and spend the year in 2 rotations of roughly 6 months each, across our 3 teams:
Lifecycle Marketing. The emails, push notifications, and in-app messages that reach millions of clients. This is the most technical work on the team: audience logic, testing, QA, and a lot of time inside our messaging platform.
User Acquisition. Paid performance marketing across channels like Meta and Snap. Building campaigns, watching them daily, and figuring out what to change when the numbers move.
Influencer Marketing. The creators and partners who introduce Wealthsimple to people who've never heard of us. Sourcing, briefing, and measuring whether any of it worked.
We'll match you to your first rotation based on what you're already good at and what projects are ready to go when you start. We'll pick the second one together, partway through the year, based on where you're strongest and what you want to get better at.
Own a channel or a flow. A set of paid campaigns, a creator partnership, a lifecycle flow that goes out every month. You'll run it day to day, monitor it, and decide what to try next.
Get into the weeds, on purpose. Audience targeting, suppression rules, conditional logic, QA before anything ships. The details are the job here, not the overhead around it.
Build a hard technical skill. Depending on where you start, that's our messaging platform, HTML and CSS for email, or the ad platforms. These are skills you take with you: the tools we use are the tools most companies use.
Write things (potentially millions of) clients actually read. Campaign emails, push copy, in-app messages, creator briefs. Drafted against a brief, edited hard, shipped.
Run your own tests and pull your own numbers. Get comfortable in our data and AI tools, design a test that will actually tell you something, and bring a recommendation for what to do next.
Leave something behind. Every rotation should end with work that outlasts you, and a handover clear enough that the next person can run it.
Interest in doing category-leading marketing, and the ambition to be genuinely good at the craft rather than just done with the task
Coachability. You seek out feedback, check that you understood it, and the next draft is visibly better
Curiosity about where marketing is going, and the ambition to suggest an idea nobody asked for
Scrappiness. You find another way in when the obvious one is blocked
Comfort working across a lot of stakeholders and competing asks, where the list of what matters most changes during the week
Real interest in personal or business finance, and a clear enough grasp of what Wealthsimple does that you could explain it to your least technical family member
A marketing internship behind you, or a project you owned end to end: a student association, a startup, team leadership, or something you built yourself
Our best early talent has consistently been people who'd already done real things. We care much more about what you've actually shipped than where you shipped it.
