About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Mid-Level Commis 1 to join our team specializing in Chinese cuisine. This position is based in Metro Manila, NCR, and requires a commitment to on-site work. As a Commis 1, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary team and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly. In this role, you will assist the Chef de Partie and Sous-Chef in various culinary tasks. You will also maintain clear communication with senior staff, ensuring that all kitchen operations run efficiently. Responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie or Sous-Chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Maintain clear communication with the Chef de Partie to ensure smooth workflow.
• Prepare dishes according to recipes and standards set by senior staff.
• Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety procedures in the kitchen.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues.
• Control food waste and manage kitchen costs effectively.
• Attend team meetings to discuss kitchen operations and improvements.

Requirements

• 3 to 4 years of experience in a kitchen, with at least 18 months as Commis 2.
• High School diploma or equivalent professional training.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software for kitchen management.
• Knowledge of the SWS system for kitchen operations.
