About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Sea Freight Operations Specialist to join our team in Dubai. This role requires a strong background in sea freight operations and a commitment to delivering excellent service. You will oversee various tasks related to sea and land freight, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with regulations. Fluency in English is essential, and knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage sea and land freight operations to ensure timely delivery.
  • Handle import and export clearance for shipments.
  • Negotiate pricing and coordinate with carriers effectively.
  • Prepare accurate quotations and invoicing for clients.
  • Process payments to carriers and maintain strong client relationships.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sea freight operations.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Knowledge of DG handling and sea freight regulations.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
