Job Summary

• We are looking for a smart, detail-oriented and proactive Accounts & Finance Officer to support the financial management and accounting operations of our consulting business.
• The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing bookkeeping activities, supporting tax compliance and filings, monitoring transactions, and providing general financial and administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting and financial records.
• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and transaction recording.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, receipts, payment records, and other financial documentation.
• Monitor income, expenses, receivables, and payables.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial records regularly.
• Support the preparation of financial reports and management accounts.
• Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis.
• Prepare and support statutory tax filings and other regulatory financial obligations.
• Maintain proper records for tax and regulatory compliance.
• Liaise with banks, vendors, clients, auditors, tax consultants, and other relevant stakeholders when required.
• Maintain an organised and accurate financial filing system.
• Provide financial information and reports required by management.
• Support audit and other financial review processes.
• Perform other finance and accounting duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience. Fresh graduates with strong accounting fundamentals may also be considered.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping.
• Working knowledge of the Nigerian tax system and statutory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision.
