Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Benin City Edo

Job Summary

The Account Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of VidaPharmacy, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, proper documentation, timely reconciliations, and compliance with established accounting procedures and organisational policies.

Reponsibiities

Record daily financial transactions accurately in the accounting system and relevant registers.
Maintain proper documentation of receipts, invoices, payment vouchers, and other financial records.
Ensure all transactions are supported by appropriate approvals and source documents.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date ledgers and accounting schedules.
File and organise financial documents for easy retrieval, audit, and reference.
Ensure that all accounting entries are complete, accurate, and recorded within the required timelines.
Support the accurate recording and reconciliation of revenue generated from hospital services, diagnostics, pharmacy, and other approved revenue centres.
Reconcile daily cash, bank transfers, POS transactions, and other approved payment channels against system records.
Assist in preparing monthly bank reconciliations.
Reconcile ledger balances, supplier accounts, customer accounts, and other assigned financial schedules.
Identify outstanding transactions and follow up on unresolved reconciling items.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline with 3 years' experience.
Relevant professional accounting certification or evidence of progress towards one, such as ICAN or ACCA, is an advantage.
