Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to manage financial records, oversee transactions, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- The ideal candidate should possess strong financial management skills, maintain accurate records, and provide reliable financial insights to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable, receivable, invoicing, and payroll.
- Monitor company expenses and maintain supporting documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and internal controls.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies when required.
- Analyze financial data, identify variances, and recommend improvements.
- Support management with financial analysis and cost-control strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, depending on the employer's requirements.
- Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Tally, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Experience in the travel agency industry is an added advantage.
Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
