Business Development & Executive Assistant (Hybrid)

Job Purpose

• The Business Development & Executive Assistant will support the growth, client development, and effective day-to-day administration of House of H Limited.
• The role combines business development, client relationship management, proposal and quotation preparation, executive support, and business administration.
• The position requires a proactive and organized individual who can work with limited supervision, build strong client relationships, follow through on assigned responsibilities, and contribute to putting effective systems and processes in place as the company grows.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the interior design, real estate, property development, hospitality, corporate, and related sectors.
• Research and identify potential clients, developers, property owners, architects, contractors, corporate organizations, and other strategic partners.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Follow up consistently on leads, enquiries, proposals, quotations, and pending business opportunities.
• Support the Managing Director in developing strategies to increase the company's client base, revenue, and market presence.
• Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging opportunities within the interior design and real estate industry.
• Represent House of H Limited professionally during client meetings, business engagements, networking events, and other industry-related activities.
• Prepare professional and well-structured business proposals, quotations, presentations, company profiles, and other client-facing documents.
• Coordinate with the design and project teams to obtain the necessary information, scope, pricing, timelines, and technical details required for proposals and quotations.
• Ensure that proposals and quotations are accurate, properly formatted, commercially appropriate, and submitted within agreed deadlines.
• Assist in preparing responses to requests for quotations (RFQs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and other business enquiries.
• Follow up on submitted proposals and quotations and provide management with updates on their status.
• Provide direct administrative and executive support to the Managing Director.
• Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, reports, presentations, and other documents when required.
• Assist in coordinating meetings with clients, vendors, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain proper electronic and physical filing systems for company documents, contracts, quotations, proposals, invoices, correspondence, and other records.
• Draft and respond to routine business correspondence, emails, letters, and other communications on behalf of management where appropriate.
• Assist management in establishing and maintaining simple, practical, and effective systems and processes for the business.
• Assist in documenting basic operating procedures, workflows, templates, and administrative processes.
• Assist in monitoring outstanding quotations, invoices, client payments, procurement requirements, and other administrative matters.
• Support the implementation of systems that improve accountability, efficiency, communication, and follow-through within the company.
• Identify gaps in existing processes and recommend practical improvements to management.
• Work closely with the interior design and project teams to understand project requirements and ensure that client needs are properly communicated.
• Coordinate the flow of information between clients, management, designers, vendors, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with the preparation of company profiles, brochures, presentations, portfolios, social media content, and other marketing materials.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to improve House of H Limited's visibility and positioning within the market.
• Support participation in exhibitions, networking events, property-related events, and other business opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare simple reports on business development and administrative activities.

Experience / Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Mass Communication, Real Estate, Interior Design, or a related discipline.
• 1–3 years of relevant work experience in business development, sales, administration, executive assistance, customer relationship management, interior design, construction, real estate, or a similar environment.
• Experience working in an SME or fast-paced business environment will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of proposal writing, quotation preparation, client engagement, and business development.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to prepare professional business documents and presentations.
