Greensprings School’s history dates back to January 1985 when it started off as a Montessori school offering nursery education to children aged 2-5 years. Founded In 1985, Since then, the school has grown remarkably and is today, From our first campus, situated in the heart of the Lagos mainland, which started with only 3 pupils, Greensprings School has grown tremendously in size and has also now established a state of the art campus on the Lekki Peninsula and Ikoyi, with a combined student population of over 2,500 pupils.

Greensprings school has been entirely self-supporting since inception. There is a Board of Governors, which, not only guides the overall direction and strategic running of the school; it also oversees the work of the Director of Education and the School Director. We look at our history with pride and affection but we also look forward with eager anticipation to the challenge of meeting the current educational needs of children growing up in the global village of the 21st century.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Electrical Technician

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of electrical installations.
Diagnose electrical faults and carry out necessary repairs promptly.
Maintain and repair lighting systems, sockets, switches, distribution boards, and other electrical components.
Monitor electrical equipment and systems to identify potential faults or safety risks.
Assist with electrical installations and modifications during construction, renovation, or facility improvement projects.
Ensure electrical work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures and applicable standards.
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns within the School.
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and replacement of components.
Ensure proper use and care of electrical tools, equipment, and materials.
Work closely with other members of the Facilities/Maintenance team to resolve technical and building-related issues.
Report major faults, safety concerns, and required replacements to the appropriate supervisor.
Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor or Facilities Management.

Requirements

OND, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related field.
Relevant technical certification or trade qualification will be an added advantage.
Minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a school, commercial, residential, hospitality, or similar environment.
Good knowledge of electrical systems, installations, maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings and diagrams.
Good knowledge of electrical safety practices and procedures.
Ability to use electrical testing equipment and hand tools effectively.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must demonstrate integrity, reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety.
