Job Summary
- They are seeking an experienced and highly competent Finance & Accounts Manager to oversee the company's financial operations, reporting, taxation, and statutory compliance.
- The ideal candidate must be a Certified Accountant with strong professional accounting experience and a solid understanding of Nigerian tax laws, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and financial management.
- Candidates with proven experience in the agro-allied or manufacturing industry are strongly preferred and will be considered a key requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the company's accounting and financial operations.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly and periodic financial reports and statements.
- Manage account reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely financial records.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws, statutory regulations, and other financial requirements.
- Manage tax computations, filings, remittances, and related statutory obligations.
- Monitor budgets, expenses, cash flow, and overall financial performance.
- Prepare financial forecasts and provide financial insights to support management decision-making.
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes and ensure timely resolution of audit issues.
- Monitor financial controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Utilize ERP/accounting systems for financial reporting, analysis, and management.
- Work closely with management and other departments to improve cost control and financial efficiency.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably at a managerial or supervisory level.
- Must be a Certified Accountant with relevant professional accounting certification(s) such as ICAN or ACCA.
- Mandatory: Proven accounting/finance experience within the agro-allied or manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, reconciliation, budgeting, cash flow management, and statutory compliance.
- Good understanding of Nigerian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with ERP/accounting software is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
