Description

• A.S. Abdul Global Homes is seeking a diligent, detail-oriented and professionally driven Accounting Officer to join our team and support the company’s financial operations.
• The Accounting Officer will be responsible for supporting the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations, ensuring accurate financial records, proper documentation of transactions, timely reconciliations and compliance with established financial procedures.
• The ideal candidate must have strong practical accounting experience, excellent attention to detail and a solid understanding of real estate financial transactions and property sales accounting.
• We are looking for an Accounting Officer who is experienced, accurate, accountable, technologically competent and commercially aware, with practical knowledge of the financial realities of the real estate industry.
• The successful candidate must be comfortable working with property sales, customer payment schedules, receivables, transaction documentation, reconciliations, accounting software and financial reporting, while maintaining strong financial controls and professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records.
• Process and document receipts, payments, invoices and other financial transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements, customer payments and company financial records.
• Monitor customer payments, outstanding balances and receivables in collaboration with relevant teams.
• Maintain accurate records of property sales, customer payments and related financial documentation.
• Manage and support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Prepare periodic financial summaries, schedules and reports for Management.
• Support the preparation of budgets, cash-flow reports and financial forecasts.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly authorised, documented and accurately recorded.
• Assist with payroll-related accounting activities and statutory financial obligations where required.
• Maintain an organised and secure filing system for financial records and supporting documents.
• Work closely with Sales, CRM, Legal and Operations to ensure the financial aspects of customer transactions are accurately captured and processed.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing accurate financial records and documentation.
• Identify financial discrepancies, irregularities or unusual transactions and escalate them appropriately.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling company and customer financial information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience, with strong experience in real estate accounting.
• Strong knowledge of property sales accounting, customer payments, receivables and reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks or similar systems is required.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial schedules, reconciliations, reports and data analysis.
• Professional accounting qualification or relevant professional certification, such as ICAN or ACCA, is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and financial reporting.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, accountability and confidentiality.
