Job Description

- The Front Desk Officer will serve as the first point of contact for patients, corporate clients, healthcare professionals and visitors, ensuring a professional, efficient and patient-centred experience.
Key responsibilities include
- Welcome patients and visitors professionally and courteously.
- Register patients and verify relevant demographic and service information.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow.
- Receive telephone calls, WhatsApp enquiries and other customer communications through approved channels.
- Provide accurate information about available laboratory services, procedures, turnaround times and payment processes within authorised scope.
- Generate or confirm test requests and ensure correct patient information is captured.
- Use the LIMS for patient registration and other front-desk workflows where applicable.
- Coordinate with phlebotomy, laboratory, accounts and other departments to facilitate smooth patient movement.
- Manage queues and communicate expected waiting times professionally.
- Receive and resolve routine patient enquiries and complaints, escalating complex issues appropriately.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Coordinate collection or communication of approved reports according to facility procedures.
- Support corporate/HMO patient documentation and verification.
- Maintain accurate front-desk records.
- Ensure the reception area remains professional, organised and welcoming.
- Support payment and billing processes in coordination with the Cashier/Accounts team.
- Follow customer service standards and facility SOPs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree particularly in Health Information Management or a related discipline.
- 2–5 years' experience as a Front Desk Officer, preferably in a clinic, medical laboratory or hospital.
- Training and certification inCustomer Serviceis an advantage.
- Demonstrable customer-service experience is an advantage.
- Experience using LIMS/HIMS is an advantage.
- Healthcare front-office experience is strongly preferred.

Benefits
- Salary: N150,000 monthly.
