Job Description
- Conceptualize and develop visual content, including graphics, animation, and video footage for a variety of media platforms.
- Bring static images to life, through the motion graphics they create, using 2D and 3D animation.
- Manage the animation of design assets and creating animation mockups of UI/Web designs.
- Manage the creative process end-to-end, from conceptualization to storyboard and editing, for the web, video, mobile, etc.
- Combine visual footage with audio sound effects, dialogue, and a soundtrack to create emotion in visual stories.
- Use computer editing software programs, video switching devices, digital video effects programs, and other tools to assemble film components.
- Discuss the project timeline, narrative structure, story goals, and more with the creative team as the project is edited.
- Work in close collaboration with stakeholders, the head of department, the creative designer, product marketing specialist, and communication specialist, throughout all phases of project development.
- Manipulate and edit film pieces in a way that is invisible to the audience and take a brief to grasp the required specification.
- Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
- Input music, dialogs, graphics and effects and create rough and final cuts of videos, clips and shots.
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running and consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Carry out other related duties as assigned by your supervisor/line manager.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Film & Video Production, Communications, or a related field.
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar role in a tech/fintech company. A background in art, and/or graphic design and strong sketch and/or creative/graphic design skill sets will be a plus.
- History of telling compelling stories through unique creative assets and visual interactions, with extensive experience in the use of Adobe After Effects or related software.
- Working knowledge and proven ability to use a variety of software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, 2D/3D animation, and/or related tools).
- Ability to partner with other creative team members and key stakeholders to create content used across a variety of platforms (web, mobile, video, etc.).
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut).
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio and thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity.
- A great communicator with strong project management skills, who can easily receive and interpret feedback and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of various social media platforms and how to use video to engage with different audiences.
