Job Title: Head of Venue Sales & Mall Activations

About the Role

• We are seeking an experienced, commercially driven Head of Venue Sales & Mall Activations to lead the growth and utilisation of our event and commercial spaces.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for driving venue bookings, event activations, corporate partnerships, customer acquisition and revenue generation across our facilities.
• This is a hands-on commercial role for a professional who understands how to sell event venues, build strong industry relationships, generate leads and convert prospects into confirmed, paid bookings.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to increase bookings and utilisation of the mall's event and venue spaces.
• Drive revenue through the sale and promotion of event halls, meeting spaces and other available commercial spaces.
• Identify and actively pursue new business opportunities across corporate, social, religious and experiential events.
• Build and maintain relationships with event planners, wedding planners, churches, corporate organisations, exhibition organisers and experiential marketing agencies.
• Conduct venue inspections, prepare proposals and negotiate with prospective clients.
• Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline from lead generation through to confirmed booking and payment.
• Develop strategic partnerships with event industry vendors, agencies and other relevant stakeholders.
• Plan and execute mall activations, exhibitions, promotional events and other initiatives that increase footfall, visibility and commercial activity.
• Work closely with the Leasing, Marketing, Operations and Events teams to maximise available commercial opportunities.
• Develop and execute monthly and quarterly sales and activation plans.
• Monitor competitors, market trends, pricing and emerging opportunities within the Lagos events and hospitality market.
• Ensure excellent client experience and drive repeat bookings and referrals.
• Prepare regular reports on leads, inspections, conversions, bookings, revenue collected and activation performance.
• Manage and develop Venue Sales Executives and other supporting team members.
• Ensure all commercial activities comply with approved pricing, discounts and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Events Management, Sales or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in venue sales, hospitality sales, event centre management, conference facilities, mall/commercial property sales or a related commercial role.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating measurable revenue.
• Strong existing network within the Lagos events, hospitality, corporate, religious and experiential marketing ecosystem.
• Demonstrable experience selling event venues, halls, conference facilities or similar commercial spaces.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, presentation and closing skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify revenue opportunities.
• Ability to develop and maintain a structured sales pipeline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant CRM/sales tools.
• Strong reporting, analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Must be energetic, target-driven and comfortable with active field sales and client engagement.

• We are looking for a sales leader, not just a marketer.
• The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate where they have previously:
• Prospected → Inspected → Proposed → Negotiated → Closed → Collected Revenue.
• Candidates with strong experience in hotels, event centres, conference facilities, malls, hospitality, experiential marketing or commercial property are particularly encouraged to apply.

Salary
N250,000 - N350,000 Monthly.
