Job Title: Methods & Webtools Engineer
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Main Functions
- To ensure effective governance, quality control, and continuous improvement of IST methods, procedures, communications, and web-based tools, while supporting compliance with company standards and delivering efficient digital solutions to business users.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Monitor compliance of IST teams and contractors with established procedures, SLAs, KPIs, and company standards.
- Follow up on IST project methodology, quality requirements, and process compliance.
- Develop, review, and regularly update IST policies, procedures, processes, and documentation in the Company Management System (CMS).
- Monitor implementation of IST procedures and processes in line with Group Information Management and IT standards.
- Review existing methods and processes and recommend improvements to enhance IST service quality and efficiency.
- Ensure IST teams maintain accurate and up-to-date inventories in the CMDB.
- Develop standardized IST email communication templates and support user communication through appropriate channels.
- Prepare and publish validated user communications relating to awareness, system changes, major activities, and incidents.
- Support the continuous improvement and maintenance of the IST intranet, website, and related documentation.
- Design and implement business process improvements using SharePoint, workflows, forms, and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Develop applications, automated workflows, and Business Intelligence dashboards using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.
- Monitor and update IST website content to ensure information remains accurate and current.
- Provide second-level technical support to users on Microsoft 365 and Office 365 applications.
- Coordinate the design, launch, standardization, and reporting of user surveys across the affiliate.
- Support change management initiatives and ensure proper documentation of IST changes and service evolution.
- Maintain HSE records as assigned and ensure compliance with applicable HSE requirements.
- Act as substitute delegate to the Head of Procedures & Methods when required.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. / B.Eng. in Computer Science/Engineering with 7 years’ professional experience in Information Technology (preferably in methods role).
- Extensive knowledge of current and developing IS/IT industry solutions and a thorough understanding of how those solutions could / should be used to best meet the needs of in-house client business entities.
- Good IS problem diagnosis and analytical abilities and a good knowledge of technical writing.
- Good reporting and interpersonal / communication skills.
