Job Title: Officer, Warehouse Operations
Location: Oshodi - Isolo, Lagos
Job Purpose / Objectives
- Ensure best-in-class warehouse management practices with no inventory loss on account of warehouse storage and product handling, in line with standard operating procedures.
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of stock and packaging materials to the production floor.
- Maintain accurate stock balances on all stock lines at all times.
- Ensure timely receipt of raw and packaging materials into PNG warehouse locations.
Key Responsibilities / Activities
- Ensure zero damage and obsolescence of materials by ensuring FIFO, FMFO, or FEFO during issuance, with proper handling and timely communication.
- Monitor and work with the technical team to promote adherence to the maintenance plan, maximize uptime, and minimize downtime of material handling equipment.
- Manage all warehouse transactions, including stock issuance, receipts, transfers, and returns to suppliers, ensuring both system and physical transactions are properly accounted for with appropriate documentation.
- Responsible for monitoring and managing material receipts from suppliers, ensuring materials are properly arranged based on approved pallet formation for each product category/size and properly labelled within the warehouse.
- Reconcile and count physical stock against the inventory listing balance daily, weekly, and monthly to generate accurate reports.
- Drive warehouse operational efficiencies by scheduling and assigning employees to designated roles and following up on work results.
- Ensure expected participation in all audit exercises and drive timely closure of any reported audit gaps.
- Ensure feedback to Planning and Shipping Departments on container receipts through proper documentation and prompt return of monitoring sheets.
- Ensure daily targets for raw and packaging material deliveries to production factories are met.
- Manage inbound third-party transporter relationships for effective results.
- Implement flexibility and agility in inventory storage to deal with exceptional situations, including natural disasters, external disruptions, theft, and stock contamination.
- Maintain good relationships and teamwork with all personnel within and outside the work environment to achieve departmental objectives and goals.
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and Food Safety standards, including conformity with ISO requirements.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by the Supervisor, Coordinator, etc.
Education & Experience
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Engineering, or Basic Sciences (Minimum Qualification).
- At least 3–5 years’ work experience in a warehouse, inventory, or logistics function within a reputable organization, preferably in the FMCG industry.
