Sales Executive

Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team and drive revenue growth within the chemical trading sector.
• The Sales Executive will be responsible for developing and managing sales strategies to grow the company's customer base, maintain strong client relationships, and achieve revenue targets within the chemical importation industry.
• The ideal candidate will have solid experience in B2B sales, particularly within chemicals, industrial products, or related sectors, and a strong understanding of the Lagos commercial market.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within the chemical importation and distribution industry.
• Manage and grow relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer retention.
• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and product quotations to prospective clients.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new sales opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of sale with clients in line with company policy.
• Coordinate with the logistics and procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of products to clients.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status (CRM or sales reports).
• Provide regular sales performance reports and forecasts to management.
• Represent the company at trade exhibitions, industry events, and client meetings.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all sales transactions.

Requirements
Education:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience:

• Maximum of 3 years' proven sales experience, preferably within the chemical, industrial, or importation sector.
• Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong negotiation and persuasion skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good understanding of chemical products, applications, and market dynamics is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
• Strong networking and relationship-management abilities.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Good knowledge of the Lagos business terrain, particularly Ejigbo and surrounding industrial areas.

Other Requirements:

• Must be willing to work onsite in Ejigbo, Lagos.
• Must be willing to travel for client visits and business development as required.
• Valid means of identification and verifiable references.
