Sales Manager

Job Description

• They are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join their team and their ideal candidate will have an extensive background in the freight and forwarding industry, demonstrating exceptional capabilities in driving business growth, forging strategic relationships, and enhancing market presence

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and approach new corporate clients.
• Generate new Air Freight, Sea Freight, Import, Export and related logistics business.
• Build and continuously maintain a credible sales pipeline.
• Develop relationships with decision-makers within target organisations.
• Understand prospective clients' logistics requirements and coordinate with our Operations team to develop appropriate solutions.
• Prepare and follow up quotations and commercial proposals.
• Negotiate and close new business.
• Maintain relationships with clients personally introduced and encourage recurring business.
• Provide regular and measurable sales pipeline and conversion reports.
• Meet agreed monthly and quarterly commercial targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant sales / commercial experiencewithin freight forwarding, international logistics or closely related logistics services.
• Preferred age range of approximately 30–45 years, although competence, industry experience and demonstrated performance remain more important than age.
• Strong understanding ofAir Freight, Sea Freight, Import and Export logistics and Customs Clearance.
• Experience in project, industrial and/or Oil & Gas logistics would be an advantage.
• An established network among importers, exporters, manufacturers, Oil & Gas companies and other corporate organisations would be highly valued.
• Strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, follow-up and closing abilities.
• Ability to demonstrate previous accounts personally acquired and, where possible, approximate business/revenue generated.
• Good understanding of the Nigerian freight forwarding and logistics market.

Remuneration

• Salary: N500,000 Gross Monthly, Plus Commission.
• Commission: Performance-based commission structure.
