Job Summary
- Mirahub Limited is seeking a skilled and results-driven Solar Engineer to join our team
- . The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar PV and hybrid energy systems.
- The role requires strong technical knowledge, hands-on experience, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure that solar projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys, energy assessments, and feasibility studies for solar projects.
- Design and size solar PV, inverter, battery, and hybrid energy systems based on client requirements.
- Prepare technical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), bills of quantities (BOQs), and other project documentation.
- Supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of solar systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults relating to solar panels, inverters, batteries, wiring, and other electrical components.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on installed solar systems.
- Ensure all installations comply with applicable electrical, safety, and quality standards.
- Coordinate and supervise technicians, contractors, and installation teams.
- Provide technical support to clients, sales teams, and other internal departments.
- Prepare technical reports, installation reports, maintenance records, and project close-out documentation.
- Ensure proper handling, installation, and configuration of lithium batteries and energy storage systems.
- Keep up to date with emerging solar technologies, products, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- B.Sc./HND in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in solar PV design, installation, commissioning, or maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, lithium batteries, electrical protection, and energy storage systems.
- Experience with solar design tools such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, HelioScope, PV*Sol, or similar software is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of electrical safety practices and applicable industry standards.
- Good communication, project management, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and supervise technical teams.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
- Relevant professional certifications in solar/renewable energy will be an added advantage.

Salary & Benefits
N200,000 – N250,000 monthly.
