Technical Sales Leader

Job Summary

• Elyon Technik Limited is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Technical Sales Leader to lead the development of new business opportunities across technical, engineering and industrial markets.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for breaking into new markets, identifying high-value technical sales opportunities, building strategic relationships and converting opportunities into profitable business.
• We are looking for a hunter, not just an account manager, someone who can identify opportunities, open doors, engage decision-makers and close complex B2B deals.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies for growing technical sales and business development.
• Identify and pursue new markets, customers and revenue opportunities.
• Prospect and build relationships with corporate, industrial, engineering, procurement and technical decision-makers.
• Sell technical products, machinery, equipment, components, engineering solutions and related services.
• Understand customer requirements and develop appropriate technical/commercial solutions.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting and proposal development to negotiation and closing.
• Identify tenders, RFQs, procurement opportunities and strategic projects.
• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.
• Build strategic relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, distributors and other technical partners.
• Lead, mentor and develop the technical sales team.
• Provide management with market intelligence, sales reports and recommendations for growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years' verifiable experience in technical, industrial, engineering, technology or equipment sales.
• Proven track record of winning new business and meeting/exceeding sales targets.
• Experience selling machinery, mechanical equipment, industrial/technical products, engineering solutions or other complex B2B products/services.
• Strong experience in business development, prospecting and consultative/solution-based selling.
• Strong commercial negotiation and deal-closing skills.
• Ability to engage confidently with technical teams, procurement professionals and senior executives.
• Existing industry contacts and knowledge of the Nigerian B2B market will be an advantage.
• Experience with CRM and sales pipeline management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills.

What We Are Looking For:

• Candidates should be able to demonstrate measurable achievements such as major contracts won, new accounts acquired, revenue generated, markets developed or significant technical products/equipment sold.
