Job Title: Trainee Accountant

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

A trainee accountant is an entry-level professional who supports a finance team with routine bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting while learning the profession under the supervision of qualified accountants.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping & Transactions: Input daily invoices, expenses, and cash book entries into accounting software like QuickBooks or Sage.
Reconciliations: Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable.
Month-End Support: Assist with journal entries, trial balances, and month-end closing procedures.
Audit Preparation: Organize financial documents and verify records for internal and external audits.
Compliance: Help ensure financial files adhere to regulatory guidelines and internal company policies.
