Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment using welding techniques.
- Ensure the structural integrity and precision of all welding tasks.
- Maintain safety and quality standards during welding operations to support organizational efficiency and compliance.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
- Perform welding operations using tools such as arc welders, MIG/TIG welders, and gas torches.
- Inspect and assess materials, ensuring they meet specifications before welding.
- Set up and operate welding machines, adjusting settings as necessary for precision.
- Perform repairs and maintenance of metal structures and equipment.
- Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards through inspections and testing.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company and industry safety regulations.
- Monitor and report on the condition of welding tools and machinery.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
- Document completed work and submit reports to supervisors.
General Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a technical or vocational welding program is preferred.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS or equivalent) is highly desirable.
- 2-4 years of welding experience in construction, manufacturing, or related fields.
- Proficiency in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
