Business Systems Analyst - Workday Time Tracking & Absence Management

We’re looking for a Business Systems Analyst to join our People Technology team in London. This is a full-time, hybrid role. You’ll support and evolve our Workday Time Tracking and/or Absence Management modules through configuration, project delivery and Tier 1 production support - ensuring a reliable, scalable experience for employees, managers, HR and Payroll teams.

You’ll report to the Senior Manager, Workforce Management. You’ll be the subject-matter expert for how Time Tracking and/or Absence is configured in our Workday tenant, translating business needs into scalable configuration and helping keep the system running smoothly for end users.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

• Own Workday Time and Absence Configuration: Gather and document requirements, configure Time Tracking and/or Absence Management, and support changes driven by new business needs, acquisitions or divestitures, and regulatory updates.
• Deliver Robust Change and Release Management: Build and maintain functional designs and configuration workbooks; develop and execute unit, integration, regression and UAT test scripts; and assess the impact of Workday’s biannual releases.
• Partner Across People, Payroll and Technology: Work with HR, Payroll and business stakeholders to validate time and absence data feeds into pay calculations, and support integrations with workforce-management tools, time clocks, scheduling tools and absence vendors.
• Provide Tier 1 Production Support: Triage and resolve tickets involving missed punches, incorrect accruals, calculation errors and approval-routing issues. Distinguish configuration, data and integration problems, escalating to Tier 2/3 or Workday support where needed.
• Improve the Employee Experience: Respond to employee and manager questions, monitor ticket trends, identify root causes and recommend proactive configuration fixes or process improvements.
• Build Capability and Confidence: Create and maintain end-user documentation, job aids and training materials, and maintain clear service levels for ticket response and resolution.

What you’ll bring:

• Three or more years of hands-on Workday configuration experience in Time Tracking and/or Absence Management; Core HCM experience is a plus.
• A solid understanding of Workday business processes, security groups and calculated fields as they relate to Time Tracking and Absence.
• Experience gathering requirements, writing functional specifications and translating them into configuration.
• Experience designing and executing test scripts, coordinating UAT and completing regression testing.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across configuration, business-process logs and integration errors.
• Experience using a ticketing system such as Jira, and the ability to balance project priorities with production-support requests.
• Clear, confident communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Preferred experience includes Workday Time Tracking and/or Absence Management certification; experience with Legion, Calabrio, Deputy, time-clock/device integrations, third-party absence vendors, multi-country configurations or agile delivery.
