Junior Bioinformatics Research Associate On-site in Abu Dhabi

About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Bioinformatics Research Associate to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong academic background in bioinformatics or computational biology. You will provide essential computational support for various genomics projects, particularly in animal and poultry research. This position requires a commitment to on-site work in Abu Dhabi, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research.

Responsibilities

• Provide computational support for animal and poultry genomics projects.
• Perform sequencing quality control, alignment, and variant calling.
• Assist with genome-wide association studies and genotype–phenotype association workflows.
• Generate summary statistics, plots, and basic visualizations to support research findings.
• Maintain scripts and records to ensure reproducibility of analyses.
• Support Research Associates in interpreting data and results.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or MSc in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
• Familiarity with genomics tools is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to communicate findings clearly to team members.
