About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Farm Production Technician to join our team in Tarlac City, Central Luzon. This is an onsite position where you will assist in managing swine production processes. You will play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our farm operations. If you have a degree in Animal Science and a passion for animal husbandry, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Farm Supervisor in overseeing swine production tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement improvements to existing processes to enhance productivity and efficiency.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory management system for farm supplies and resources.
  • Carry out barn management activities to ensure a clean and safe environment for the animals.
  • Record production data accurately to support operational decision-making.
  • Conduct hog sales declaration activities in compliance with regulations.
  • Analyze performance gaps and suggest measures for improvement.
  • Ensure bio-security protocols are followed to protect animal health.
  • Monitor the performance of third-party workforce providers to ensure quality standards.
  • Report any issues or concerns regarding farm operations to the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Degree in Animal Science or related field is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in swine operations is preferred.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply and gain valuable experience.
  • Working knowledge of swine breeding and heat detection is essential.
  • Experience with artificial insemination and boar semen evaluation is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping are necessary.
  • Strong numerical skills for accurate data analysis and reporting.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team.

Statutory benefits (Philippines)

  • 13th-month pay

    Mandatory under PD 851: equivalent to one month's basic salary, paid no later than 24 December each year.

  • Service Incentive Leave

    Five days of paid leave per year after one year of service.
