About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Assistant System Controller to join our team in Dubai. This role requires a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering. You will work on-site to support the control room operations. Your expertise will help ensure safe and efficient power generation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with the Control Room Engineer to ensure smooth operations.
  • Track control equipment and plant parameters for optimal performance.
  • Operate the plant to maintain safe and efficient power generation.

  • Initiate the start-up and shut down of plant equipment as needed.
  • Watch system conditions and report any alarms immediately.
  • Train team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Hold a Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

  • Possess skills in Visual Basic programming for automation tasks.
  • Show strong problem-solving abilities in technical situations.
  • Exhibit effective communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
