Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the installation, modification, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintain all kitchen and laundry equipment in good working order.
  • Prepare and implement a preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Ensure cleanliness of all kitchen and laundry equipment.
  • Monitor the performance of pumps and motors to ensure efficiency.
  • Follow the preventive maintenance chart and maintain accurate records.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure quality and progress.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and calculations for effective execution.
  • Create on-the-job training programs for engineering staff.
  • Understand and apply emergency procedures within the hotel environment.
  • Fit and assemble components to meet precision and quality standards.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
