About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Safety Officer to join our team on-site in Dubai. This role is crucial for ensuring a safe working environment and promoting a culture of safety within the organization. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH certification and a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. You will support the safety management system and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the rollout and improvement of the KONE safety management system.
  • Cultivate a culture of safety awareness among all employees.
  • Compile and maintain safety records to ensure compliance.
  • Participate in the unit safety committee to enhance safety practices.
  • Provide advice on safety matters to management and staff.
  • Plan and implement projects to improve workplace safety.
  • Track and develop safety risk management processes effectively.
  • Collect and ensure the accuracy of safety data for reporting.
  • Conduct regular safety audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze and investigate incidents to prevent future occurrences.
  • Enhance personal competencies as a safety specialist through ongoing learning.
  • Support the training of others to improve their safety skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.

  • 2–5 years of experience in safety, preferably in the elevator industry.
  • Fluency in English is essential for effective communication.
  • Additional safety certifications are a plus.

  • Experience in incident management and auditing is beneficial.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
