The On-site General Operator position in Abu Dhabi offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on water treatment solutions. This role is essential for supporting the Site Engineer and ensuring that operational standards are met. Candidates should be proactive and disciplined, with a strong mechanical aptitude. Fluency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Site Engineer in maintaining strong customer relationships to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide daily water analysis and services to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Communicate daily analysis results and address any non-conformances effectively.
  • Manage chemical inventories onsite to ensure adequate supply for operations.
  • Troubleshoot chemical dosing systems to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Conduct monthly coupon extractions and replacements to monitor system performance.
  • Support plant surveys of water systems to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct start-ups of treatment applications to ensure smooth operations.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
