About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Repairs Controller to join our team in Sharjah. This on-site position requires a strong background in aeronautical or mechanical engineering, along with extensive experience in managing aircraft component repairs. You will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient repair processes and maintaining high standards of service quality. Your expertise will help us enhance our operations and support our commitment to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and organize aircraft component repair processes to ensure timely completion.
  • Manage vendor relationships to secure cost-effective support and services.
  • Review and assess repair quotations to ensure they meet budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with teams to improve existing processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Establish and manage the processing of unserviceable components effectively.
  • Track and control repair costs to stay within budget.
  • Oversee in-house repair capabilities to maximize resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with Engineering Procurement for timely negotiations and agreements.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Organize shipping and logistics for repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Manage the schedule for component removals to ensure smooth operations.
  • Set KPIs for individual areas to monitor performance and progress.
  • Focus on team training and skillset building to enhance capabilities.
  • Establish a performance review structure with repair stations to maintain quality.
  • Review nil stock components for priority repairs to ensure readiness.
  • Circulate daily reports of unserviceable items awaiting disposition to keep stakeholders informed.

Requirements

  • Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in repairs management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of managing supplier performance effectively.
  • Familiarity with airworthiness rules (GCAA/FAA/EASA) is essential.
  • Understanding of airline engineering and maintenance activities.
  • Experience with service monitoring tools and KPIs.
  • Amos familiarity is a plus for this role.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
