About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Supervisor for an on-site role in Abu Dhabi. In this position, you will oversee safety programs and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Your expertise will help maintain a safe working environment in our heavy manufacturing facility. This role requires a strong understanding of safety protocols and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Track and support the rollout of corporate safety programs.
  • Oversee Process Safety Management protocols to ensure safety.
  • Conduct hazard analysis and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
  • Ensure following of occupational health and safety rules.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Use data analytics to assess safety performance indicators.
  • Organize toolbox talks and safety briefings for staff.
  • Conduct routine evaluations of the workplace to identify risks.
  • Assist in safety drills and emergency evacuations.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in health & safety or related field.
  • Have 2-3 years of relevant experience in heavy manufacturing.
  • Possess basic safety certifications like NEBOSH or IOSH.
  • Demonstrate strong written and spoken English skills.
  • Show excellent interpersonal and customer-focused skills.
  • Understand hazard identification and risk assessment methods.
  • Exhibit strong attention to detail and observation skills.

Statutory benefits (UAE)

  • Wage Protection System (WPS)

    Current-month wages must be paid via WPS no later than the 1st of the following Gregorian month. Establishments must transfer ≥85% of total wages by the deadline (Ministerial Resolution 340/2026).

  • End-of-Service Gratuity (EOSB)

    21 days of basic salary per year for the first 5 years; 30 days per year thereafter. Allowances are excluded from the calculation.

  • Annual leave

    Minimum 30 calendar days per year after the first year of service (2 days per month between 6 and 12 months).

  • Sick leave

    Up to 90 days per year on a structured paid/unpaid schedule once probation completes.

  • Health insurance

    Mandatory employer-provided coverage in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
