Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and analytical Accountant to oversee key financial operations, ensure accurate financial records and reconciliations, and support effective financial management across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations, reconciliations, and financial transactions.
- Manage supplier accounts, purchases, credit notes, rebates, and related transactions.
- Review ledgers, expenses, and financial records to ensure accuracy.
- Manage bank reconciliations and banking-related transactions.
- Prepare payroll and ensure timely statutory remittances.
- Prepare financial reports and provide financial information to Management.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure proper documentation.
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff.
- Strengthen financial controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
Requirements
- HND / B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution.
- ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software / ERP systems; Tally experience is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership ability with good attention to detail and financial control.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Salary
N300,000 – N350,000 / month.
