• Minimum HND or B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA) or progress towards certification is an advantage.
• At least 2 years of accounting experience in a structured commercial environment.
• Experience in trading, import, or e-commerce sectors is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards including IAS 1, IAS 2, IAS 7, IAS 16, and IFRS 15.
• Solid understanding of Nigerian tax regulations including VAT Act, PITA, CITA, and Pension Reform Act.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, financial modeling).
• Experience with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Odoo, or similar ERP platforms.
• Ability to prepare cash flow statements using the indirect method.

• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements using accrual accounting.
• Perform regular bank, cash, and ledger reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Manage the full accounts payable and receivable cycle, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and customer collections.
• Oversee petty cash operations and maintain accurate records.
• Calculate and remit statutory obligations such as VAT, Withholding Tax, PAYE, pension contributions, and Company Income Tax on time.
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts within the company’s accounting system.
• Generate and analyze management reports and financial dashboards to aid decision-making.
