About the Role
- We are looking for a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and commercially minded Accountant to join our growing Spa and Wellness team.
- The Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial activities of the spa, ensuring that all income, expenses, payments, inventory transactions, and financial records are properly documented and accounted for.
- The ideal candidate should not only be comfortable working with numbers but should also understand the importance of accuracy, confidentiality, accountability, and financial discipline in a customer-focused wellness business.
- You will work closely with the management, front desk, therapists, product/inventory team, and other relevant departments to ensure that the business maintains accurate financial records and operates within approved budgets.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records for the spa.
- Record daily income, expenses, purchases, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Prepare and maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions.
- Reconcile daily sales and collections from spa treatments, memberships, packages, product sales, and other services.
- Monitor and reconcile daily revenue generated from various spa services and product sales.
- Verify payments received through cash, POS, bank transfers, online payments, and other approved payment channels.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between sales records, payment channels, and accounting records.
- Work closely with the inventory/operations team to monitor the financial aspect of stock movements.
- Reconcile purchases, stock records, usage, sales, and closing inventory.
- Monitor the cost and movement of skincare, beauty, wellness, and other products sold or used within the spa.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification or membership of a recognized accounting body such as ICAN, ACCA, or ANAN is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5–8years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a spa, wellness, hospitality, beauty, healthcare, retail, or other service-based environment.
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and expense management.
- Good understanding of financial controls and basic tax compliance.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential financial and employee information.
Salary
N400,000 - N600,000 per month.
