Accountant

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

What You Will Do

• Manage Core Accounting: Handle day-to-day bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
• Ensure Tax Compliance: Handle monthly statutory filings and remittances, including VAT, PAYE, and WHT with relevant tax authorities.
• Control Manufacturing Inventory: Oversee tracking, valuation, and periodic physical counts for raw materials, WIP, and finished paint batches.
• Drive Product Costing: Accurately calculate and review the Cost of Goods Manufactured (COGM) and COGS, factoring in raw materials, labor, and overheads.
• Lead Software Migration: Utilize your tech-savviness to help evaluate, set up, and transition our company operations to a new accounting software platform.

What We Are Looking For

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ICAN/ACCA qualification or progress is a plus).
• 1 to 3 years of professional accounting experience, with verifiable background in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong mastery of cost accounting, inventory management, and Nigerian tax compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills and practical experience working with computerized accounting software/ERP systems.
• High integrity, problem-solving mindset, and project coordination skills for software implementation.

What We Offer

• Competitive salary (Salary: N120,000 - N150,000 monthly) aligned with experience.
