Job Summary

• The Accounts Clerk (Sales & Inventory) is responsible for supporting the accounting department through accurate recording of sales transactions, monitoring stock movement, reconciling daily sales and inventory records, and assisting in maintaining proper financial documentation.
• The role ensures that all product sales and inventory activities are properly captured and reported in line with company policies and accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Record all daily sales transactions in the accounting and inventory systems accurately and promptly.
• Reconcile sales records with receipts, invoices, and bank deposits.
• Verify correctness of prices, quantities, and customer account details on all sales invoices.
• Maintain accurate filing of all sales documentation and receipts.
• Record all stock receipts, transfers, production outputs, and dispatches into the inventory register/system.
• Monitor inventory levels and alert management of shortages, damages, or variances.
• Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical inventory with system balances.
• Support coordination between the warehouse, sales, and accounts departments to ensure accuracy of inventory records.
• Assist in maintaining petty cash records and ensuring proper documentation of expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company financial policies.

Requirements

• Minimum of HND in Accounting (Degree holders may also apply)
• 0–2 years’ experience (entry-level role)
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Familiarity with inventory management and accounting softwareis an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good numerical and analytical ability
• Integrity and ability to handle confidential information
• Female candidate preferred.
