Job Summary
- The Assistant Accountant will support the Finance & Accounts team in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring proper documentation of the company’s financial activities.
- The role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented, and trustworthy individual with a good understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records.
- Record and process daily financial transactions, including receipts, payments, expenses, and invoices.
- Assist with preparation and processing of invoices, payment vouchers, receipts, and other financial documents.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements and company accounts.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and account schedules.
- Support the preparation of budgets, cash flow statements, and financial forecasts.
- Track accounts payable and receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Assist with payroll preparation and other staff-related financial transactions when required.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly authorized and supported with relevant documentation.
- Assist with audits by providing requested financial records and supporting documents.
- Monitor expenses and ensure compliance with approved budgets and company policies.
- Assist in tracking property sales, client payments, commissions, and other real estate-related transactions.
- Liaise with banks, vendors, clients, and other stakeholders when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the Accountant or Head of Finance.

Qualifications & Requirements
- B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
- ICAN/ACCA certification or relevant professional qualification is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
