About the Role

• Sterling Gate Services is a growing business support and people solutions company seeking a commercially driven Business Development Executive/Consultant to build and grow our corporate client base.
• This is a startup environment, so we're looking for someone who can independently prospect, open doors, generate opportunities and convert them into meetings, proposals and contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect potential corporate clients.
• Generate leads through cold calls, LinkedIn, email, networking and referrals.
• Identify and engage decision-makers across HR, Operations, Administration and Procurement.
• Book qualified client meetings.
• Understand client needs and recommend relevant Sterling Gate services.
• Maintain and actively manage the sales pipeline.
• Follow up on leads, meetings and proposals through to conversion.
• Provide market intelligence and contribute to business growth strategies.

Key Performance Measures

• Qualified prospects generated
• Meetings booked
• Proposals/opportunities generated
• New clients acquired
• Revenue generated
• Pipeline value
• CRM/reporting discipline.

Requirements

• 2–5 years' experience in B2B Sales, Business Development, Corporate Sales or Professional Services.
• Proven ability to generate leads independently and close business.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Confident with cold outreach and engaging senior decision-makers.
• Target-driven, persistent and self-motivated.
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Experience selling recruitment, HR, outsourcing, facilities, procurement or other professional services is an advantage.

Compensation
Commission-based / Performance-driven:

• The structure will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
• This is an opportunity to grow with a young business and potentially take on greater commercial responsibility as Sterling Gate expands.
