Business Development Officer

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and potential clients.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Conduct market research to identify emerging market trends, customer needs, and business opportunities.
• Generate leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, digital channels, and other business development activities.
• Prepare and deliver business proposals, presentations, and sales pitches to prospective clients.
• Manage the business development pipeline and follow up on leads to convert prospects into customers.
• Negotiate commercial terms and support the successful closure of business deals.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective delivery of products and services to clients.
• Monitor competitor activities and provide insights to support business strategy.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and sales activities.
• Prepare regular business development and performance reports for management.
• Achieve agreed business development, sales, and revenue targets.
• Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking activities to promote the company's products and services.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, or a related commercial role.
• Proven experience in lead generation, client acquisition, and relationship management.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet set targets.
• Good knowledge of the relevant industry and market.
