Job Summary

• The Business Development Officer (BDO) is responsible for identifying and developing both new and existing business opportunities.
• The BDO will collaborate with Business Development team to expand the client base, increase market share and secure contracts with federal and state governments, private organizations and high net-worth individuals.
• He will also stay updated with industry trends and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, market needs and potential growth opportunities.
• Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to drive growth and increase market presence.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business opportunities.
• Analyse competitor offerings, market pricing and customer preferences to position the company competitively.
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities in government defence contracts, private security firms and international markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, fleet operators, distributors, and key stakeholders.
• Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the brand and explore potential business opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and sales pitches.
• Monitor customer feedback and market developments to support product improvement initiatives.
• Ensure proper contract execution and fulfillment of obligations as per the agreed terms.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and business opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Sales, Management, or a related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, or Client Relationship Management.
• Experience in the automotive, manufacturing, engineering, or related industry is an added advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
• Ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
• Strong analytical and market research skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of the Abuja business environment and surrounding regions is an advantage.

Salary Expectation
N250,000 - N300,000 monthly.
