We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Cashier

Location: Alausa Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to manage customer transactions efficiently and provide excellent service.The ideal candidate will handle payments accurately, maintain proper records, and contribute to a smooth front-of-house operation.

Key Responsibilities

Process customer payments accurately using POS systems (cash, card, and transfers).
Issue receipts, refunds, and correct change while ensuring transaction accuracy.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked cashier station.
Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of each shift; report discrepancies promptly.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and billing concerns professionally.
Work closely with waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure accurate order billing.
Record daily sales transactions and assist with basic financial reporting.
Ensure compliance with company cash handling and internal control policies.
Assist with opening and closing procedures, including reconciliation and system checks.
Promote excellent customer service with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
Inform customers about promotions, menu updates, or special offers.
Safeguard company assets and prevent loss through proper procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum of an SSCE or OND qualification.
Proven experience as a cashier, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
Familiarity with POS systems and basic accounting principles.
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
High level of integrity and accountability.
Basic computer knowledge (Excel is an added advantage).

Working Conditions:

Shift-based schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
Fast-paced restaurant environment.

Salary
Competitive and based on experience (N80,000 - N100,000 monthly)
