Job Title: Commercial Officer, Crude Accounting & Reporting
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Main Function
- Lead and coordinate statutory crude oil reporting, crude accounting, production/lifting reconciliation, and data validation activities for Deepwater assets, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to Government agencies, regulatory bodies, Partners, and internal stakeholders while maintaining compliance with contractual and fiscal requirements.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit statutory crude oil production, lifting, stock, and sales reports to Government agencies, regulators, and Partners.
- Prepare crude oil accounting schedules and validate production, lifting, stock, entitlement, and revenue data.
- Coordinate quarterly, half-yearly, and annual crude oil reconciliation exercises with Government agencies and Partners.
- Support year-end fiscalisation, NEITI audits, and internal/external audit activities.
- Monitor and reconcile crude oil movements across Deepwater assets and terminals.
- Liaise with Finance, Audit, Field Operations, Production, and Commercial teams to ensure data accuracy.
- Maintain effective relationships with NNPC, NUPRC, NAPIMS, NEITI, FIRS, and other regulatory stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with applicable contractual, regulatory, fiscal, HSE, and cybersecurity requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related numerate discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in oil and gas, crude accounting, reporting, reconciliation, or a numerate function.
- Good understanding of crude oil production, lifting, stock, entitlement, and commercial processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, LIMA, NPMS, NBOP, and reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, numerical, reconciliation, and data validation skills.
- High attention to detail and strong data integrity focus.
- Good communication, interpersonal, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines.
- Boslet training certificate is an added advantage.
