Job Summary
- Are you experienced in operating filling and packaging equipment within a manufacturing environment?
- We are looking for a detail-oriented Filling & Packaging Line Operator to support production operations in a leading lubricant manufacturing company.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate filling, capping, labeling, coding, and packaging machines.
- Monitor production lines to ensure accurate filling, sealing, and packaging of products.
- Perform machine setup, product changeovers, and basic troubleshooting.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and report any faults or abnormalities.
- Maintain accurate production records and support quality assurance processes.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, GMP, and company quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized production environment.
- Set up production equipment before the commencement of each production run and perform product changeovers when required.
- Monitor filling accuracy, packaging quality, product weight, and machine performance throughout production.
- Ensure finished products are properly sealed, labeled, packed, and palletized according to company specifications.
- Conduct routine inspections of production equipment and identify potential faults or abnormalities.
- Perform minor machine adjustments, troubleshooting, and first-line maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Escalate equipment breakdowns or technical issues requiring engineering support.
- Carry out line clearance before and after production activities to prevent product contamination and mix-ups.
- Record production output, downtime, rejects, and machine performance accurately in production logs.
- Ensure raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products are handled safely and efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping by keeping the production area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S principles.
- Comply with Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.
- Participate in quality inspections and support investigations relating to product defects or process deviations.
- Work collaboratively with production supervisors, maintenance engineers, quality assurance personnel, and warehouse teams to achieve production targets.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving product quality.
Requirements
- OND, HND, or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Production Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience operating filling or packaging machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in lubricant manufacturing, FMCG, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, paints, plastics, or related industries is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of automated production lines, quality control, and production processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet production targets.
- Ability to read production schedules, work instructions, and machine operating procedures.
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and equipment adjustment skills.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and production documentation.
- Physically fit and willing to work shifts where required.
