Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and visitors, greeting them warmly and professionally.
Register patients efficiently, schedule appointments, and manage patient flow to ensure an optimal experience.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls or messages appropriately to relevant personnel.
Verify Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) coverage, process approvals, and liaise with HMO providers regarding patient billing, authorizations, and claims reconciliation.
Generate accurate bills for services rendered and collect payments through various methods (cash, POS, transfers).
Issue receipts, balance daily financial transactions, and maintain meticulous financial records.
Assist patients with information regarding their bills, services, and next steps in their healthcare journey.
Handle patient concerns or complaints with empathy, tact, and a high level of professionalism.
Maintain accurate and organized records for both patient information and financial transactions.
Coordinate effectively with the clinical and administrative team to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or HND in a relevant field related to healthcare or administration.
A minimum of 1–2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a hospital or healthcare setting.
A solid understanding of Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) processes and healthcare billing systems is essential.
Experience with cash handling, medical billing software, and Point of Sale (POS) systems is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and hospital management software is necessary.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are vital; candidates must be friendly and approachable at all times.
Strong attention to detail, high integrity, and the ability to perform well under pressure are important.
