Verdant Acres Limited is an emerging agribusiness enterprise established to lead the development, management, and operation of fully integrated agricultural value chains in Nigeria. We are strategically positioned as a leader in the nation’s coconut oil sector, operating a state-of-the-art 22-ton-per-day coconut processing facility.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Front Desk Officer

Location: Mkpat Enin, Uyo - Akwa ibom
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

Greet and welcome visitors, clients, and employees in a warm and courteous manner.
Answer incoming phone calls, direct calls to the appropriate personnel, and take messages when necessary.
Respond to inquiries and provide accurate information about the company's products, services, and activities.
Manage appointments and schedules, coordinating with various departments as needed.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and the reception office.
Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries to appropriate recipients.
Assist in administrative tasks, such as data entry, filing, and photocopying.
Handle customer complaints and concerns with professionalism and escalate as necessary.
Assist in arranging and coordinating meetings, conferences, and events.
Monitor and manage the visitor log and security access procedures.
Update and maintain internal directories and contact lists.
Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure efficient office operations.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to confidentiality and security.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification is a plus.
Previous experience in a front desk, receptionist, or customer service role is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to handle a variety of personalities.
Proficiency in using office equipment, including phones, computers, and printers.
Organizational and multitasking abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling administrative tasks.
Familiarity with basic office software (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).
