Job Description
We are looking for:
- We are seeking a Frontend Engineer II to build and scale secure, reliable, and intuitive digital financial products.
- In this role, you will partner with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences while driving frontend architecture and engineering best practices.
- You will support key initiatives, contribute to technical decision-making, and help ensure our applications meet the performance, scalability, and security standards required in the fintech industry.
Responsibilities
What will you do:
- Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance frontend applications that support digital banking, payments, lending, wealth management, and other financial services products.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and compliance teams to deliver customer-centric financial solutions.
- Develop reusable and maintainable frontend components using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js, ensuring consistency across products and platforms.
- Build intuitive user interfaces that simplify complex financial transactions, account management, reporting, and payment workflows.
- Integrate frontend systems with APIs, payment gateways, banking services, fraud prevention tools, and third-party financial platforms.
- Ensure compliance with financial industry regulations, data privacy requirements, accessibility standards, and security best practices.
- Implement robust authentication, authorization, and secure session management mechanisms to protect customer and transaction data.
- Optimize application performance, responsiveness, scalability, and reliability across multiple devices and browsers.
- Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to customer transactions, account servicing, and digital financial products.
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5 years building mobile apps in fintech or a regulated environment preferred.
- Frontend Development (React, Angular, Vue.js).
- JavaScript & TypeScript Expertise.
- Financial Systems & FinTech Product Knowledge.
- Secure Application Development.
- Payment Gateway & API Integration.
- Agile Product Development.
- Regulatory & Compliance Awareness.
Regulatory Considerations:
- Implements frontend controls supporting PCI-DSS and secure handling of sensitive input fields.
- Ensures consent flows and data collection UI comply with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023.
