Job Summary

• The General Manager, Sales is responsible for overseeing and driving the commercial success of CIG Motors.
• This role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, managing sales teams, building customers relationships, and ensuring that the company meets its revenue targets.
• The GM Sales plays a crucial role in driving business growth and profitability across the organisation's retail and fleet sales operations.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Performance:

• Prepare and submit comprehensive weekly and monthly reports to the Chairman, detailing sales performance, market trends, and strategic recommendations.
• Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop effective sales strategies and promotional activities.
• Establish and manage sales targets for the team, holding them accountable for achieving results.

Sales Operations:

• Oversee all sales activities, ensuring the timely and efficient closure of both retail and fleet sales.
• Identify target accounts, create strategies to secure new business, and execute sales and marketing plans.
• Monitor pipeline health and ensure consistent conversion from lead generation through to sale closure.

Stakeholder & Business Relationship Management:

• Foster strong working relationships with sales, marketing, and other departments to identify and capitalize on commercial opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with key customers, fleet clients, and corporate accounts to drive repeat and referral business.
• Represent the organization at industry events, client meetings, and business development engagements.

People & Performance Management:

• Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to consistently meet and exceed set targets.
• Implement performance management systems to track individual and team sales performance.
• Identify training needs and coordinate continuous sales capability development.

Requirements

• Have over 15 years’ experience working in a multinational environment.
• Possess bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in relevant courses or MBA.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and successfully leading teams in high- pressure environments.
• ​Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, motivate, and influence others.
